Our analysis shows some providers are not claiming for all the exceptional cases they are entitled to. We have begun discussions with these providers and with representative bodies to understand why and also to raise awareness of the claiming procedure.

Tenders are invited from organisations such as solicitor firms, commercial organisations and not for profit agencies to supply legal advice in debt, housing, welfare benefits and employment via the telephone.

 Consultation open on contract amendments needed to support virtual courts pilot
We are consulting on amendments to the Unified Contract and Crime Specification to support the national Virtual Court pilot which begins in 2009 and will last a year. The pilot is being led by the Office of Criminal Justice Reform and will involve all agencies in the criminal justice system. Expressions of interest should be returned to us by 31 October.
